5 Tips for Promoting your Podcast on Instagram
  1. New Account or Pre-Existing?

    Choose if you will have a podcast specific account or blend it into your brand/business account. Many podcasts have their own Instagrams while others incorporate the podcast into their preexisting Instagram (I.E. Check out the Twin Cities Collective Account on how they incorporate podcasts)

  2. Brand Guide

    Make sure you have a brand guide (colors & fonts) to create graphics. Canva.com is a great place to make a template for new episodes (which can include headshots of your guests) as social media posts each week. Having a consistent color scheme works.

    I.E. Check out some of our podcasts Hyperbole on their Instagram Account they have a great color scheme around Orange

  3. Audiograms

    We recommend using apps like Headliner to create sharable social media clips to your instagram (as well as youtube, facebook, linkedin & twitter!) to make microcontent clips

  4. Use IGTV:

    Instagram’s latest feature is IGTV, a new tool that allows up to 10 minutes of video clips to be shown on the main feed as well as a separate feed. Utilizing both vertical and horizontal video, you can upload audiograms or video files to share parts of your episode online

  5. Tag Your Guests!

    One of the best ways to get more people to learn about your podcast is tagging your guests, specifically on instagram stories. Stories are 15 second clips that expire in 24 hours. One of the best features is if you tag someone else on instagram, they can easily repost that post to their feed!
